Reminiscent of the words from one of the Pet-Shop-Boys songs, which go: "....and left to my own devices, I probably would" I managed to sort out my online Flickr photo account all by myself. Without being boring, I basically locked myself out and although it was for a mere 2 days or so, it began to drive me crazy. I'm afraid the photo blogging and online storage craze got the better of me a while back and now I use it constantly. I adore taking snaps of anything from signs, graffiti, out of the ordinary to basically anything that is worthy of a push button moment.

Its 430am on a Monday morning. I've been on YouTube looking at Adam Ant and various 1980s videos from MTV as well as British TV reminding myself of the best era theres been. I am so grateful to have been fortunate enough to have lived through the 80s era. The best music ever came out of it. Bands such as Visage, Culture Club, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Yazoo etc all played a seminal part in the mapping out of modern music and the backbone principles that have gone in to modern music genres. So many progressive new wave bands of the time such as Modern Romance, Spandau Ballet and other "funny-to-look-at-but-cool-back-then" New Wave & New Romantic bands really did help form and nurture the magic, ideas and freedom principles that a lot of music has become today. The word 'transmuted' comes to mind for some reason.
I must add that my favorite 1980s bands that left there marks were:~ The Human League [Dare: album]
~ Yazoo [Upstairs at Erics:album]
~ Depeche Mode [Speak and Spell:album]
How would I sum these particular 80s bands up if i had to? Well, In 3 simple words: "synth-ballad-emotionalists"
Felt I had to include a photo of TOTP.After all Top Of The Pops (c) BBC, helped so many bands along the way.
Long live memories.
